This series began with the intent to create a series of pieces centered around a small, and limited amount of constraints. I limited myself to creating simple shapes one with four lines(or cuts) one with three and another with two. The self imposed rules provided me with the breeding ground necessary to feel and better understand the sense of play and creativity required for creating. As the work began it was apparent that the process was going to evolve and even the definitions of the rules would have to be redefined. Change proved to be an underlying constant that surfaced as an integral part of the compositions. Most notably in the 432.3 series where each print become a monoprint, whereby each composition is filled with new and unique splashes of overlapping color.
